Previously a director of Broadway Financial Advisers Ltd for five years, Dave left this practice to found Financial Health with Bryan Taylor. Prior to this Dave was employed in the Corporate sector, most recently as General Manager of the Housing Corporation of New Zealand. Dave has broad financial management experience and a significant knowledge and understanding of debt raising, savings and investment and life insurance.
Dave is active in the community. He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Kelston Deaf Education Centre, a past President of the New Zealand MBA Association and a member of the Henley MBA Alumni Committee.
Dave has recently attained accreditation as an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) as part of his commitment to expanding his knowledge of best investment practice principles based on overseas models of compliance.

He was previously a director for five years of Broadway Financial Advisers Ltd, an integrated adviser practice before leaving to found Financial Health Ltd with Dave Thomas.
In the UK, Bryan was a director and shareholder of a firm of independent financial advisers based in London, where he gained experience in the UK financial services industry and its governing legislative framework. Bryan’s industry knowledge and experience help to ensure his clients receive sound and impartial advice.
In addition to his UK financial planning qualifications Bryan’s experience as the Compliance Officer for his business in the UK and also for Broadway Financial Advisers in New Zealand, ensures that Financial Health is able to benefit from direct experience of industry best practice principles enshrined in the UK regulatory environment and the developing NZ regulatory requirements for the financial services industry.

John’s industry knowledge and experience, especially in the area of personal and business insurances, helps to ensure his clients receive sound and impartial advice on the protection of their assets.
As part of his commitment to expanding his knowledge of best practice principles, John is currently studying for a Post Graduate Diploma in Personal Risk Management.

Previously a business development manager with AMP Bank Ltd for six years, he became an Adviser in 2003. Prior to this he was a mobile mortgage manager with Countrywide Banking Corporation. Stan specialises in home loans and life insurance.
Stan is currently studying a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (Personal Financial Planning) part-time at Massey University.
In his spare time he plays chess and rides a Honda Firestorm 1000 (not at the same time). |

He spent five years working for AMP learning about may aspects of the business, and then became an adviser in 1975. Today he is still providing quality advice to his clients'.
He focuses in life, disability and crisis cover insurance, as well as looking after all of his clients' needs regarding house, contents and vehicle insurance. He holds a current practising certificate, and is making sure that his knowledge is up to date by means of the adviser link courses, facilitated by AMP.
In his spare time he is a keen fisherman, and an average snooker player. |

Prior to migration, he had worked in the field of corporate risk management and travel assistance businesses in Asia for 17 years after obtaining a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in Japan.
He became an Adviser in 2007 focusing in health, life and general insurance. With Taka’s depth of knowledge and experience in risk management his key objective is to find the right solutions to meet his clients individual needs.
In his spare time he blows a whistle as a rugby referee of the Auckland Rugby Referees Association during the season.

We have recently brought a new member onboard within Financial Health to strengthen our entire financial service commitment to our customers. John Parker is an experienced mortgage consultant who has a vast banking experience, having worked within four of the main banks in New Zealand and moved into mortgage consulting as an independent broker at the end of 2006.
John’s background in lending is extensive, having established the first central mortgage broking unit for the National Bank in 1996. He then went on to establish new home loan products for the market, trained bank staff on the principals of lending, and also spent time in the area of pricing home loans.

Melissa’s primary focus is to administer the new risk insurance business and help ensure completion within an appropriate timeframe. This requires close liaison with both clients and our major insurance partners.
Melissa also assists with day-to-day client enquiries and provides support to the Advisers.
